My name is Dara, and I’m the designer behind Dara E Designs (if you couldn’t tell from the name) 😉 I’m a single, twenty-something year old working in the insurance business by day. I enjoy designing and crafting to relax after a long day at work.
I’ve been crafting in some form or fashion most of my life. Some of my fondest memories are of making crafts and sewing fun projects with my mother and friends as a child.
I’ve been an avid paper crafter for over 15 years, and I picked up the basics of design along the way. When I was choosing my major in college, my heart said graphic design, but my head said accounting…Plot twist, I chose accounting, but my love for design never left. Fast forward about 6 years, in 2017, I decided to finally follow the dream I’ve always loved. I enrolled in an online Graphic Design Certification Program, and I learned the ins and outs of a few design programs. The rest is history. I finished my certification, and started Dara E Designs, where I can combine my love for design with crafting!
A few facts about me:
- I read way too many books, watch way too many tv shows, and eat way too much Mexican food.
- I’m an extreme introvert, who enjoys spending time alone, and when given the choice 9 times out of 10 will stay home over going out.
- I live in the Tyler, Texas area with my family and our dog, Riley.
